A platform-driven biotechnology company focused on upstream mitochondrial biology

Who we are

LUTERION Co., Ltd. is the core intellectual property holder for Luterion™.

LUTERION is building a coordinated development ecosystem around Lu120819 through indication-specific development entities and regional R&D and manufacturing affiliates. This structure enables the group to advance Lu120819 across selected therapeutic areas while maintaining centralized control over core intellectual property, platform strategy, and scientific direction.

Rather than focusing only on downstream disease manifestations, LUTERION's approach is centered on upstream mitochondrial and immune-metabolic biology, where cellular stress, immune dysfunction, and impaired tissue recovery converge.

Leadership

Jaekyung Cecilia Song, J.D., Ph.D.

Chief Technology Officer & President

A rare leader who spans science, business, and law — from the development of Lu120819 to the architecture of a global company.

Dr. Song sets LUTERION's scientific and technology direction. Trained at MIT, Boston University, Harvard Medical School, and the University of Cincinnati — and later at Seoul National University Law School — she commands both the science of Lu120819 and the legal and financial architecture of the company built around it.

A former Endowed-Chair Professor and Cancer Institute Director, she now leads the group's strategy end to end — closing multiple fundraises and building affiliated companies worldwide through a therapeutic-area licensing-out (L/O) structure.
